The Moon awaits our Astro-Men

This is a night time launch of the Space Shuttle Endeavor in 1998. It's pretty long, but it's interesting to see how the ship actually flies. Most of the time we only see small snippets on the news.

Although space shuttle launches may seem common by now, I sometimes get sideswiped by the notion that this thing is flying into fucking outer-space! Doesn't that blow your mind if you really think about it?
